NBA baller Carmelo Anthony recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he spoke about his Puerto Rican roots; his Puerto Rican soccer team –the North American Soccer League (NASL) expansion team, Puerto Rico FC; and Puerto Rico’s popular holiday cocktail –coquito (a thick and creamy eggnog-like beverage).
Carmelo Anthony, whose mother is African-American and whose father is Puerto Rican is the 2016 King of the 59th Annual Puerto Rican Day Parade. This cultural celebration will take place Sunday, June 12th, from 11:00am – 5:00pm. Actress Rosario Dawson is the queen.
